My name is Amy Friedman and I am passionate about helping individuals create sustainably healthy lives. I have been working with kids and adults to help encourage and develop self-acceptance, discipline, creativity, empowerment, and a zest for healthy living.  Working as an art, theater, dance, and experiential educator, I create dynamic classes and workshops that meet individuals where they are.  As a counselor and educator for over twenty five years, I help both kids and adults, in a variety of settings, develop their own sense of well-being and routines to stay balanced and whole on a physical, mental, social, and emotional level.

Yoga is a way of life for me.  I have been studying yoga and dance for over twenty five years with a yogini mom that paved the way through Kripalu yoga.  I infuse many disciplines of yoga into my sessions and incorporate creative movement, focused body awareness, and mindfulness throughout the practice.  Practicing in the Plum Village tradition of mindfulness meditation, I focus on being fully present in each moment and help others find peace and joy through learning this practice.

Kids are our greatest teachers.  As a mother of two healthy kids, I feel strongly about helping kids find ways to be peaceful, healthy and happy every day.  Through positive parenting approaches and developing healthy choices and alternatives, I collaborate with parents and educators to help kids grow into healthy adults.  I truly believe that in order to take care of others, we must first take care of ourselves.  Helping teachers and parents find ways to connect to themselves, also helps them connect to the kids in their lives as positive role models.

May we all continue to live to our fullest potential by planting healthy seeds and watering them daily!
